Despite the title, with its suggestion of rushing air and adrenalin surges, Freefall start off with an easy, confident swing that you can't help liking and goes on to surprise with the roundedness of the self-penned songs, plus the slick professionalism of the trad tracks - to say nothing of the occassional, execpected baroque embelishment the brings an involuntary smile.Freefall comes from Dundee-based froup The Cutting Edge, who are Calum McKenzie, Kevin Murray, George carmichael and Deryck Mitchelson.
The lads already have an established pedigree round the halls: they must surely have an impressive future awaiting them on disc too, if they continue to deliver like this.
